Hi there,
Welcome back to “Hey Coach Darren” – the advice column where I’ll be sharing my top three tips on a different topic each week, inspired by real-life scenarios from our current members (and you)!
Today’s edition is special—it’s the 100th edition of ‘Hey Coach Darren’ and, just two days ago, FitTRAC celebrated 16 years as a business. Hitting these milestones is an incredible moment to reflect, not just on where we are today, but on the journey it took to get here. And since this is a big one, make sure to read all the way through—there’s a special giveaway waiting for you at the end!
When we started this newsletter, the goal was simple: help people navigate their fitness journey with practical advice and real-world solutions. Now, at 100 editions and with FitTRAC celebrating 16 years, it’s clear that progress—whether in business or fitness—comes down to one thing: showing up.
FitTRAC wasn’t built overnight. It took commitment, adaptability, and pushing through challenges, just like any health journey. There were tough moments, setbacks, and times we questioned the path forward. But we kept going. And that’s exactly how you reach your fitness goals—by staying consistent, even when it’s hard.

In the spirit of reflecting on the journey, today’s advice is about starting, sticking with, and pushing through in fitness—the same things that got us to 16 years as a business and 100 editions of this newsletter.
Start Where You Are, Not Where You Think You Should Be: One of the biggest mistakes people make when beginning a fitness journey is comparing themselves to others or setting unrealistic expectations.
The truth is, where you are today is the perfect place to start. You don’t need to be in better shape to begin—you just need to take action. Whether that’s committing to two workouts a week, drinking more water, or just getting in more steps, progress starts with consistency, not perfection.
FitTRAC started small and built up over time, just like any successful fitness transformation.
Encourage Others to Start Too—Your Journey Impacts More Than Just You: One of the most powerful things about committing to your health is that it inspires others around you.
When FitTRAC started, it wasn’t just about building a business—it was about creating a space where people felt supported and encouraged. And that’s true in personal fitness, too. When you prioritize your health, people notice.
Your spouse, kids, friends, and coworkers see the changes, the energy, the confidence—and sometimes, that’s the spark they need to start their own journey. Be the example, and you might be the reason someone else takes their first step.
When It Gets Hard, Keep Showing Up: There will always be moments when motivation dips, when life gets busy, or when progress feels slow. This is when most people quit—but it’s also where success is built.
FitTRAC didn’t make it 16 years by only doing what was easy, and you won’t reach your goals that way either. On tough days, remind yourself: progress isn’t about always being perfect, it’s about showing up when it’s hard.
Modify your workouts if needed, adjust your nutrition, take rest when your body needs it—but don’t stop. Keep going.
So here we are—100 editions in, 16 years strong. But this isn’t the finish line. It’s another milestone along the way, just like the wins you’ll celebrate in your own journey. Keep showing up, keep moving forward, and keep inspiring those around you.
Thank you for being part of this, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead—both for FitTRAC and for you.
And stay tuned for next week’s “Hey Coach Darren” where I’ll be sharing more valuable tips to help you become happier, healthier, and stronger.
Stronger Together,
Coach Darren
